When is the best time to schedule Senior pictures?
It's best to book your senior pictures at the end of your junior year beginning of your senior year. Do you have to take them then? No, of course not. Booking your photographer at these times can ensure that you get the dates that work around your schedule. Fall and spring can be extremely busy times for both Seniors and Photographers alike, so this helps with combining of the schedules.
When is the best time to take Senior pictures?
This sorta ties into the question above. Fall and Spring are always extremely popular times to take senior pictures as they make for the best backdrops for images. Having your photos done before April is a must. This will insure you'll have all your prints in time to mail out your announcements. My cut off time is first week in April for Seniors however, when needed and when possible, I can squeeze you in and put a rush on your gallery for an extra fee.
What should you wear for you Senior photos?
Choosing outfits that are comfortable is a must. Try to stay away from short, tight clothing we'll me moving alot so you need to be comfortable. Try to stay clear of large logos, bright colors and bold patterns. I recommend sticking to neutral colors and light patterns as they help keep the eye on the subject which is you the Senior.
How many outfits should I have for my photoshoot?
A minimum of 3 outfits, this can be a number of things, but we want to have a good variety of images for you to choose from. I usually recommend 2 casual and one dressy. Don't forget to when picking outfit to have one to wear under your gown and/or letterman jacket. Don't have your gown yet mention that I may have one in the color needed.
Can I include my family in my Senior pictures?
The simple answer to this is no, these are photos to document your personality at this moment in your life. However, we can always schedule a family session for a later date if you'd like.
Can I include my dog, music instrument or other props at my photo session?
ABSOLUTLY, yes I always encourage bringing things that help describe you as a person during this major milestone of your life. We want to include all your hobbies and interest in this photoshoot.
How do I prepare for my Senior photoshoot?
Girls make sure to book your hair and makeup as soon as possible. Do not do any major changes to your hair before your photoshoot. Be sure to have nice nails day of. Pack the correct undergarments, shoes and jewelry. BE SURE TO INCLUDE YOUR GRADUATION RING. Do a test run in all the outfits and everything listed to be sure it's the look you want.
